About
I’ve been working on the Web for over 10 years and my freelance experience spans 6. Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to work with some great clients, including Sony, IBM, and Learndirect, and more recently NHS and Berlitz. I have also enjoyed working on projects with small businesses on a local and national level.
I have worked on a broad range of projects, from complex Web applications to content managed websites and simple front end builds. I am a big believer in the semantic Web and Web standards and endeavour to apply these principles to all of my work.
What I do
I specialise in HTML, CSS, ASP.NET (C#) and jQuery, however my back-end development experience is based upon the fundamentals of object oriented design and development, and whilst I am happy as Larry working on the .NET platform, I am equally at home working with PHP, OO or otherwise. Most of my work involves a database in one form or another, most often in the form of SQL Server, however more recently I’ve been getting my hands dirty with MySQL.
Other Interests
I have recently been experimenting with WordPress for different applications, I am particularly interested in the platform’s plugin API through which I have developed numerous plugins.
I am currently exploring various MVC frameworks (both ASP.NET and PHP) and am looking forward to working with them on future projects.
Recent
Very recently, I left Bourn Design, a full service design agency which I set up with graphic designer and good friend, Mark Stringer, to set up M60 Digital.
